Speed Kills....does 40KmPh too??

Now, now, a civil engineer from Pune had come down to Mumbai to wirte a piece on the notorious stretch of road on the Eastern Express Highway for the Marathi Vidynan Parishad. Little did the good man know that he might get a hands on experience; he too ended up as a victim. A victim of MMRDA's callousness. Thankfully no lives were lost. Though a couple of days before, a tanker carrying asphalt had upturned at the Godrej Junction again.





The great news was that MMRDA finally decided to probe the skidding but they still blame the motorists for speeding. The Engineer was driving at 40 KmPh!! Need I say more??

The Monsoon has Arrived

136 Accidents in 4 days!!! And 66 of them at the Godrej Junction!! And more than 200 cases of skidding since the monsoon..Though very high, this is not statistics for the whole of Bombay City. I am talking about a small stretch on the Eastern Express Highway!!

I know our safety was last on the priority for the Government , but isn't this a bit too much??

Seems like the BMC cripples more people than Polio.

Bomb @ Vashi??

A crude bomb went off at the Gadkari Auditorium, Thane and the other was detected at Vishnudas Bhave Auditorium , Vashi. The one at Vashi didn't go off. But Vashi!! That's so close to home.
"Apna Thane??" was my first reaction when I heard the news. I always thought that these attacks happen in other places, other states. Slowly, the realization hit me. These bombs were meant for me and my neighbours. To kill and maim us.
Yes,I am afraid and I dont want to die.
Please, Mr. Terrorist don't bomb us..please. I am not involved in politics. I dont hate the minorities and I dont even litter the roads. I work 9 to 5 , pay my taxes and I dont fight my obnoxious neighbour.
I dont even hate you, my faceless terrorist. Why do you want to kill me??
